How long have you been farming?

I have been involved in farming since I was born.

Was born onto a Sheep and Beef Farm in Marlborough after university bounced backwards and forwards between Dairy and Sheep. Currently sharemilking 200 cows on the West Coast

What makes you proud to be a farmer?

Taking ownership of animals and seeing them from birth reach their potential.

Also knowing that those animals have been well cared for and providing the best quality products in the world for them to enjoy.

What do you love about your job as a farmer?

Every day is different and provides a challenge at the same time. There is really enjoyable moments seeing happy stock skipping around a paddock or cows with tight udders every morning during peak. Also seeing the rewards for all your work and efforts and getting to eat the best produce that you have cared for.

What advice would you give the next generation of farmers?

Work hard, always ask questions someone will always be prepared to help you if you are unsure, get passionate about somethin

g and always enjoy what you are doing.
