How long have you been farming?
- 20 years.
What sort of Farming are you involved with?
- Merino sheep, beef, hydro power generation and tourism.
What makes you Proud to be a Farmer?
- Selling high quality and high value merino to companies such as Icebreaker, Silere merino meat to hotels and restaurants and our beef to a Japanese restaurant brand, all whilst protecting and enhancing our environment.
What do you love about your job as a Farmer?
- We live in the most beautiful part of the most beautiful country all the time doing something that we love and can be proud of.
What advice would you give the next generation of Farmers?
- Never forget that we have a unique and beautiful country to enjoy and protect whilst producing a small amount of the highest quality food and fibre for the world to savour. But mainly, enjoy what you do and you’ll do it well. Good luck.
